Built to be usable by everyone
This statement covers Care World and the other websites Chronix Health Group Ltd runs. It says what we aim for, what we have actually measured, what we know is wrong, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C, at the level most commonly used as the benchmark in the UK.
You should be able to use this site with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, with the text resized up to 200%, and with the colours or contrast changed by your own browser or operating system.
Where we actually are
We do not claim full conformance. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, and the testing described below is automated, which can only find part of what matters.
What we can say honestly is narrower and is set out under “How we tested this”: an automated pass over every public page found the issues listed here and no others that it is able to detect.
What we know is wrong
The automated pass described below found no issues it can detect on the 42 public pages it covered.
That is not the same as saying there is nothing wrong. Automated testing finds roughly a third of accessibility problems. Things it cannot judge (whether a heading describes the section beneath it, whether alternative text is useful rather than merely present, whether a form can be completed without a mouse in practice, whether help stays in the same place from page to page) are not covered by that result. If you hit one of them, please tell us; that is the main way we will find out.
Tell us, or ask for another format
If any part of this site stops you doing something, or you need information from us in a different format (large print, plain text, audio, or anything else that works for you), email support@careworld.app.
Please tell us the page address and what happened. You do not need an account, and you do not need to know the technical reason. Our other contact details are here.
We aim to respond within one month, the same commitment we make on complaints. If a request needs longer, we will tell you.
How we tested this
On 22 September 2026 we ran axe-core 4.13.0 (@axe-core/playwright 4.13.0 on Playwright 1.62.1) against Chromium 141.0.7390.37 over every public page of this site, at 390px and 1280px, using the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, levels A and AA rule sets. This site uses a light colour scheme.
All 84 page-and-width combinations loaded normally, every one of them from a production build. Three pages could not be tested because they need a private link to open (two email links and the referee form) and they are not covered by anything above.
The test runner is in the open at apps/marketing/tools/a11y-public-audit.mjs, and it takes its list of pages from the site itself rather than from a list someone maintains, so a new page is covered the day it is added.
We have not yet tested with real assistive technology or with disabled people, and we have not had an independent audit. Both are worth more than an automated pass and neither has happened, so neither is claimed.
If we do not put it right
Tell us first: support@careworld.app, and if you are not satisfied with how we handle it you can raise it through our complaints process. The Equality Act 2010 requires us to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people, and nothing on this page limits your rights under it. If you believe we have not met that duty, the Equality Advisory and Support Service gives free, independent advice.
This statement was prepared on 22 September 2026 and is based on the testing described above, carried out on the same date. We will review it when the site changes materially, and at least once a year.
